Scuba
Diving
PADI D.S.D (Discover
Scuba Diving) course for beginners includes a morning
class in a pool and an afternoon shallow water dive
in Sosua Bay. The D.S.D. certifies participants for
shallow-water dives accompanied by a Dive Master for
a period of 14 days.
Two hour instructional
class generally begins at 9:00 a.m. Open water dive
at 2:45 p.m. In between time is yours to relax, eat
lunch, and explore the town and beaches of Sosua.
US$60/guest
includes instruction, Dive Master guide, water transport
to the reef, and all equipment. Optional additional
charge of US$10/person for roundtrip ground transportation
(economically speaking, only recommended for divers
travelling alone).

Snorkeling
Sosua and Rio San Juan PADI
5 Star quality in tours and service.
3 hour tour including
visits to two reefs by boat, mask, snorkel, snorkel
vest, wet suit (US$5 extra), guide, and bistro lunch
with drinks: US$40/person. Additional charge of US$10/person
for roundtrip transportation.
1.5 hour tour
with visits to two reefs includes guide and equipment:
US$25/guest. Additional charge of US$10/person for roundtrip
transportation.

Cabarete is "one of the best
windsurfing beaches in the world" and has hosted
the PWA World cup event for the last two years. Suitable
for all levels, the morning winds are ideal conditions
for the beginner windsurfer, whereas the reef and increasing
winds during the day provides challenging conditions
for the more advanced sailors.
