PLEASE NOTE: While the Iguana Mama Damajagua Waterfalls shore excursion is capped at 20 people per bus, the waterfall activity itself is NOT always a small group experience. Damajagua Waterfalls is a public national park that welcomes visitors from many various local groups and citizens, tour operators, hotels, Airbnbs, and cruise ships visiting Puerto Plata. Everyone is welcome.

At the park, no one is permitted up the mountain without a National Park Guide and, because the Guide Association has a limited number of certified guides, they determine group sizes based on the number of people at the park any given day. No tour operator has control over group sizes, guide assignments or park capacity during the activity.

Damajagua is the single most popular tour in the Dominican Republic.  On busy days, the park may receive more than 1,000 visitors, which can result in congestion and waiting times.  While our guides do their best to move you through the lines, (your Iguana Mama Guide stays with you throughout the tour), this excursion is not fully “controlled by us” but rather an excursion that guarantees our small group transportation and exceptional personalized service before, during and after the falls activity.
